Starbucks Ready Brew Coffee Final

Here's the finals for my print ads for Sarbucks.  First I'll show them in the magazines, and then I have the detailed images. :]
Insert as it would be closed

The final printing of my insert.

Now to take a closer look at the ads.

This is what I had wanted my insert to print as.  Problem was
they couldn't print double sided on a 25 inch piece of
large format paper.  Oh well I guess.  Plus it was around
100 dollars to print one sided. *cringe*

Sorry about the colors, and the quality of the images.  I really hope everyone enjoys! :]

Beautiful ads for fruit juice - Advertising Is Good For You

Beautiful ads for fruit juice - Advertising Is Good For You

I wanted to show this blog that was not done by me, but shows excellent examples of creative uses of voice and tone in an ad. Also taking a look at a product in a new light. :]

Starbucks Ready Brew Coffee

Wanted to have my first post showing the progress of something.  This is gonna be quick since I am soooo behind on my work :[  Here we go though, Via Ready Brew coffee from Starbucks.  The idea is everyone can drink it essentially.

Magazine insert.  This is what it will look
like when it is completely expanded.  Please ignore
the copy since I haven't worked on that, only art direction.

this will print on the back of the yellow last page and there
will be more showing than this, hasn't been
designed yet though.  Just wanted to show that when the
insert is closed together, this will almost look
connected to the front page.
Hope you like, sorry I can't explain much or talk about it much.  Just wanted to show what I have.  Hope you all are well!! :]

Update 3:17am 1/17/2011

Just wanted to post my second concept.  The design isn't well worked out, but you basically get the idea.  Simply loose the brewer, you're not gonna need it anymore.

Miscellaneous

Here's an assortment of all different things I've been doing since I've been to SCAD.  Everything probably needs to be reworked, I will be updating later when that happens.

Enjoy!
Wedding Card for my beautiful friend Michelle <3

Showing the main point of the passage literally.  Positioning the word
on the bottom right side of the pg is the position where people
turn the page and makes it so they notice it for sure.

The actual book photographed.

Ad for Heinz spicy ketchup.  Had been making a whole
image similar to this in photoshop, then found basically
this one.  After manipulations to make it a
better design for what I needed, here it is.  Was for a class, and
no trying to cause problems with the photo owner <3.

Ad for Budweiser, supposed to imply that Bud was
associated with football and you could
win the beer launching fridge.  I really, really want
to rework this one since I think it could be really good :]

Showing emotion through font with the words Optimus Prime
says at the end of the second movie.

Menu Design

So for one of my projects for school we have to take an old project and basically design a creative way, that applies to the product, to show the steps that we took in the making of the final product of the design.  My idea was to make a wine menu.  In ideal conditions I had really wanted to have a leather bound booklet.  Under the circumstances I had to keep to what I have available to me in terms of supplies to the historic district of town.  Here is what I've done for the design of what the printed things will look like.

I actually started off with a moleskin drawing notebook.  I was
able to deconstruct it and get rid of the binding and pages.

The outside will remain simple and black for now.
If I find something in town I may try and see if I can make the outside
be a faux leather.

Decoration, but also hides imperfection in taking
the string out of the spline of the book in deconstruction.

With a bland outside I really wanted to see if
it would be a nice touch to have the inside really pop.
The concept behind the product, fat bastard wine is it's the
anti-snooty-wine.  I wanted the whole idea of a wine
menu to be a contradiction to the product.  Thus,
the copy is going to read for instance, on the opening page
there's a bold title, "This is not your typical wine Menu."
Making the book itself look fancy and high class is my goal
to further the irony of the product it's selling.

With the notebook I have a pocket that's located in the back.
I haven't decided if I am going to be able to use this
or if I really want to or not, but I did think it was good
to keep it open.  We shall see!

Hopefully I'll be able to find more supplies to be able to further the concept.  I'll be adding more on what I'm going to do for the print outs and stuff later too :].

Hope everything is well for everyone.  Thank you for reading!

Updated :  The final product photographed.

This picture is the truest of colors showing the final design,
the second I manipulated to see if it could give a different feeling.
The purpose of the "wine menu" is this would
be a creative tool in showing the client the progress in the
work for the project, and also a way to show the finished product.
